Governing Body
What is the Governing Body?
Every school has a Governing Body, which works with the school
in all its administrative functions, collectively and through
committees. It is responsible for the main administrative decisions
of the school, for example to:
- Allocate the school's budget
- Develop the school's policies
- Appoint and dismiss staff
- Monitor academic standards
- Monitor school discipline
- Handle complaints
- Plan building repair and maintenance
